Alien Evolved Edition

Alien Evolved Edition

Looks like we are going to get some new Alien RPG goodies from Free League at the end of the Summer. The campaign launched on kickstarter on the 25th March and smashed their target with days. Now complete they’ve managed to raise over 23 Million SEK (£1,797,668 / $2,442,207) with nearly 12000 backers. To say I’m excited is an understatement. I’ve already immersed myself in the beta versions of the PDF’s and September seems like an awful long way away to wait for the books to be delivered.

Alien has become a fan favourite across the globe in the horror and sci-fi genre of roll playing games for while now. The new "Hopes' Last Day" adventure tells the story of the last few days at Hadley's Hope on LV-426. And, well we all know how that's going to turn out.

The new cinematic adventure "Rapture Protocol" opens up the Alien universe and introduces the industrial mining colony of Jeremiah VI. Dark, industrial spaces crawling with xenomorphs await.

As Free League have announced; the organism is evolving. They've expanded and updated core rules and created new cinematic scenarios for this multi-award winning RPG.

New to the evolved edition is the addition of new iconic items, ships and locations from ALIEN: Romulus film. The core rules updates includes; new lore (one of my favourite bits of any RPG), with new graphic and layout design, revisions to stealth mode, panic, weapons and armour. The revised maps and artwork in the Beta PDF's look absolutely stunning.

It’s going to be a long summer waiting for these to land in my postbox. The waiting is the hardest part, so why not fill that void by browsing some current Alien RPG content on drivethrurpg, then come back here and create a game to play with your friends.
