About this game
Waterdeep: Dragon Heist is an urban crawl, mystery adventure for those interested in a grounded and sandbox-esque playstyle. With a restructuring of the solid foundations provided in the source material into a smoother and more robust adventure, the information gathering, heists, and deceptively hazardous combat scenarios will shine in this campaign. The adventure is designed for levels 1-5 or 6, allowing players to grow and discover their characters at a comfortable pace. This allows for bonds to form and break between NPC's and player characters alike, in the roleplay forward structure of the larger campaign. We will spend the majority of our run exploring the city of Waterdeep together. An endless jungle of row houses and alley ways, the weeks that pass in game will fly by with the amount of trouble there is to get into. The maps provided in the sessions will pull you into the world of Faerun and more specifically the several wards of Waterdeep and the landmarks therein. The dragon heist awaits.
How to Prepare
For this campaign we will be using Owlbear Rodeo. You can set up your account following this link: https://www.owlbear.rodeo Once this is done, begin thinking of some character ideas that interest you. The majority of character creation will be done in Session .5, so we might all help eachother make a cohesive team.
