About
Hey, I'm Salty. I've been playing tabletop RPGs for almost three decades and sitting behind the GM screen for over twenty years. Somewhere along the way I earned the title of "Forever GM," and honestly... I'm okay with that. I love introducing new players to this hobby just as much as I enjoy challenging veterans. No matter if you've never rolled a d20 or you've been adventuring since THAC0, my goal is the same: make sure everyone leaves the table excited for the next session. Outside of gaming I'm a Navy veteran, husband, father of six, professional software developer, and maker who spends way too much time around 3D printers and laser engravers. But when game night starts, all that matters is telling a great story together.
Gaming Style
I love games that give players meaningful choices. Sure, fighting monsters and finding treasure is fun, but the moments I remember years later are the ones where the party has to stop and ask: "Are we actually doing the right thing?" I enjoy stories with moral gray areas, memorable NPCs, and consequences that make the world feel alive. That doesn't mean every session is doom and gloom, though. I love ridiculous moments just as much as emotional ones. My tables usually end up somewhere between serious fantasy adventure and a group of friends laughing at their own terrible decisions. In other words... exactly where tabletop games tend to shine.
Game experience
Like a lot of people my age, I started with TSR-era Dungeons & Dragons in the late 90s. One session was all it took. Before long I was running games myself, and apparently I never stopped. Since then I've run campaigns across multiple editions of D&D, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and plenty of one-shots in between. I've introduced complete beginners to the hobby, taught experienced players new systems, and watched countless unforgettable stories unfold because somebody decided to open the obviously cursed door. Every table teaches me something new, and after all these years I'm still learning alongside my players.
